THE
HONEY MAKING PROCESS:
1. First we remove the
hives to extract the honey from the hives
2. Then we check the frame
for intended use, i.e. fermenting or as honey (based
on the water content)
3. We start the
fermenting process as follows:
• Honey is processed with water
• Then processed honey is stored in vats
• Fermentation commences
• Then at the appropriate stage, fermentation process is stopped and the
product is then fortified
• The fortified product is stored in vats
• The product is then racked to remove unwanted wax
• Honey based creams, ports and stingers are then produced
4. As Honey
• Honeycomb and protective wax are removed
• The honey is then extracted
• Honey is processed through course and fine filters
• And then stored in containers
• We then bottle the honey for sale.
